Bardeen is an AI-powered automation platform that runs in your browser. It helps you eliminate manual work by connecting your favorite tools — like Google Sheets, LinkedIn, Slack, Notion, and more — with no coding required.

Here’s what you can do with Bardeen:

🧩 Step 1: Install the Bardeen Extension

Bardeen works best on Chrome, Arc, Brave, or Microsoft Edge. To install:

1. Go to the Chrome Web Store
2. Click Add to Chrome
3. Pin the extension for easy access

🔐 Step 2: Sign Up or Log In

Click the extension icon in your browser and sign in with Google or your work email.

🚀 Step 3: Run Your First Automation

After logging in, go to the Explore tab in the extension or app to find featured playbooks.

We recommend starting with:

If a Playbook needs access to your apps, Bardeen will prompt you to connect them. Here's how: Connecting Apps Guide

🛠 Step 4: Create or Customize Your Own Playbook

Playbooks are automations that you run manually. You can start from a template or create one from scratch using the Builder.

To customize a playbook:

1. Go to the Explore or My Playbooks tab
2. Click on any playbook — it will open in Studio where you can customize it
3. Add, remove, or reconfigure actions based on your workflow

🧠 You can also describe what you want to build using the Magic Box (the AI prompt bar at the top of the builder), and Bardeen will generate the automation for you.

🔍 Browser Agent

The Browser Agent runs via the “Execute actions” blocks under Scraper. It lets Bardeen open pages, click, extract, and summarize content on your behalf — either in your active tab or in the background.

🏷️ Categorizer

You’ll find this under the “AI Tools” category. Train Bardeen to categorize leads, emails, or data — and use it to qualify prospects, group responses, or filter out unwanted content.

✉️ Email Assistant

Also found in “AI Tools,” the Email Assistant writes custom messages using information from LinkedIn, GitHub, job posts, and more.

🔁 Step 7: Set Up Autobooks for Always-On Automation

Autobooks are automations that run automatically when something happens — like a new row added to Google Sheets, an email arriving, or a specific day and time.

Think of them as your “set-it-and-forget-it” workflows.

💡 Some examples:

• 📅 Every Monday at 9am → Post your team’s weekly agenda to Slack
• 🧠 When a new LinkedIn profile is added to Google Sheets → Enrich the data using AI
• 📥 When a new email arrives in Gmail → Categorize and log it to Notion

💳 Step 8: Credits & Usage

Most actions in Bardeen use credits — except for those under Utilities (free as of version 3.21.1). 1 action = 1 credit. Only Builder Mode is free and unlimited.

🧪 Use Test Mode to see how many credits an automation will cost — before running it live.

🧾 After each run, you’ll see a full breakdown of usage:
