π§© Step 1: Install the Bardeen Extension
Bardeen works best on Chrome, Arc, Brave, or Microsoft Edge. To install:
- Go to the Chrome Web Store
- Click Add to Chrome
- Pin the extension for easy access

π Step 2: Sign Up or Log In
Click the extension icon in your browser and sign in with Google or your work email.

π Step 3: Run Your First Automation
After logging in, go to the Explore tab in the extension or app to find featured playbooks.

π Step 4: Create or Customize Your Own Playbook
Playbooks are automations that you run manually. You can start from a template or create one from scratch using the Builder.
To customize a playbook:
- Go to the Explore or My Playbooks tab
- Click on any playbook β it will open in Studio where you can customize it
- Add, remove, or reconfigure actions based on your workflow
π§ You can also describe what you want to build using the Magic Box (the AI prompt bar at the top of the builder), and Bardeen will generate the automation for you.

Autobooks are automations that run automatically when something happens β like a new row added to Google Sheets, an email arriving, or a specific day and time.
Think of them as your βset-it-and-forget-itβ workflows.

Most actions in Bardeen use credits β except for those under Utilities (free as of version 3.21.1). 1 action = 1 credit. Only Builder Mode is free and unlimited.
