How to Use Bardeen's Pre-built Official Scrapers

When creating a Playbook, you can add a scraping action to automate data extraction tasks efficiently. Bardeen provides pre-built scrapers that are easy to use and work with official models for structured and reliable data collection.

Adding a Scraper Action

Follow these steps to include a scraping action in your automation:

1. Select "Add New Action".
2. Navigate to Scraper.
3. Choose either "Scrape data on active tab" or "Scrape data in the background", depending on your use case.

Selecting a Pre-built Scraper Model

In the settings of scraping actions, you can pick a pre-built scraper model from a list. Models marked with "(by Bardeen)" in their names are our official scrapers built and maintained by our technical team. These models are updated regularly to ensure they work reliably.

Customizing a Scraper

Once you’ve chosen a pre-built scraper model, you can customize it to fit your needs. Click on "Edit Scraper" to:

• Add new fields to scrape.
• Rename fields to better suit your data structure.

This allows you to extend the functionality of the pre-built scraper while still benefiting from the reliability of the official models.
